Book on Yoga as a form of rehabilitation

Posted by Richard James Green

Hello there,

My brother, aged in late forties, has recently had a ruptured neck disc
replaced with a titanium one. The rupture was caused by years of poor
posture and stiffness in the neck (according to the neurosurgeon).
IMHO, as a medical practitioner myself, and Iyenga yoga goer for some years,
yoga would be a good method of rehab for the neck and would loosen up his
generally stiff spine .
He likes the idea in principle, but he would probably be scared off by
anything too physically arduous, or anything focussed on the spiritual
dimensions of yoga.

anyone have any ideas about a book or video (or other sources of
information), suitable for him?

refgards,

t.i.a

Richard.
